Donald Trump has won the United States president election. As a Japanese I have one concern.
Trump says that the US army which has been staying in Japan for a long time will leave. Though it's often said Japan has a military, they have seldom or never fought against any countries. Concerned that the army has little practical experience, it is probably not going to work when it comes to fight in a real sense. At the moment the threats to Japan are China and North Korea. North Korea might not be a concern as most of countries worldwide are against it. The problem is China. They have started building whatever constructions for military purpose and to suck up resources under the ground out of China's border. There's no doubt it will continue expanding its area and poor Japan cannot convince China not to come into the border as the difference in military power is huge. As there will no longer be the back up of the US, Japanese military must be independent as soon as possible.
The US has done it, and if it's not changeable Japan must make a difference to be prepared for something wrong that could be happening in a few years.
